DEATH PENALTY   Death penalty is a  Capital punishment , is a government-sanctioned practice in which a person is put to  death  by the state as a  punishment  for a crime. It can be imposed for  treason , espionage, murder, large-scale drug trafficking, or attempted murder of a witness, juror, or court officer in certain cases. There is no evidence that the  death penalty  descreases crime more effectively than being in prision. Actually, evidence says the opposite. “Since abolishing the  death penalty  in 1976, Canada's murder rate has steadily declined and as of 2016 was at its lowest since 1966.” Most nations have already abolished death penalty.   GMO   genetically modified organism, is a plant, animal, microorganism or other organism whose genetic makeup has been modified in a laboratory using genetic engineering or transgenic technology.
