Psychology
is the study of how people behave, think and feel. Psychologists study everything about the human experience from the basic
workings of the human brain to consciousness, memory, reasoning and language to
personality and mental health.
A psychologist is someone
who studies mental processes and how humans behave by observing, interpreting,
and recording how people interact with eachother and the environment. Some psychologists do research only
with patients or clients.
People go
to psychologists for these reasons:
Fears, phobias, and anxiety problems, Eating and
weight control problems, Improving relationships between people, Stress and
chronic pain. Depression and grief, Sexual problems, Sleeping problems, Compulsive
and addictive behaviour, Children's learning and behavioural difficulties, Developmental

Psychology
uses the scientific method to study psychological phenomena. A goal of
psychology is not only to understand the processes that underly human thinking
and behaviour, but apply that understanding to solve practical problems. With this
knowledge in psychology, you can choose to work in scientific research,
neuroscience, clinical practice, or as a consultant in corporations, hospitals
or government agencies.
Psychology is a very new
science, the advances were done over the past 150 years. However, It´s origins
are from the Ancient Greece 400-500 years bc.
The word psychology comes from
Greek roots that mean the study of the psyche, or soul.

Motivation, Leadership. Morsa Images, Communication,
Emotional Intelligence, Decision-Making, Memory, Money Management, Academic
Success.
